Muscians

Being a musician can be physically demanding. Hours and hours of practicing and performing puts strain on a musician's body, especially if you are a beginner. Whatever instrument you play, you can put many stresses on your body that can result in injury. Being unable to perform because of pain and injury can be traumatic and may have a substantial effect on your income as well as your wellbeing. We want to help you play comfortably and if injured, help you return to performing quickly and safely. We have a vast amount of experience working with all types of musicians (please see our reviews!) and have a huge success rate in getting them back performing and keeping them injury free. Our team of highly qualified therapists take the time to understand your specific positioning and the physical demands of your instrument, to come up with a suitable treatment and homecare programme that will fit around your lifestyle and give you the freedom to enjoy what you love!

What we will do…

We will discuss if you are currently experiencing any symptoms and go through your technique and performance schedule. From this we can pinpoint specific movements and stresses that may be contributing to your injury/discomforts. Special tests will rule out any structural damage including muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. Any abnormalities will be addressed with a combination of treatments using various modalities including clinical massage, electrotherapy, assisted stretching, dry needling etc; your session will be based on the outcome of your assessment, so each patient is treated individually. This will be collaborated with a realistic strengthening programme that you can comfortably integrate into your lifestyle. Our aim is to educate you on the condition that is presenting in your symptoms and give you a clear insight into why you may have sustained your injury/issue plus, valuable information on how to avoid it happening again. This knowledge is a powerful tool bringing you more body awareness, allowing you to identify your weaker areas and work on them in your own time so you do not have to think about it when you are performing.

By implementing a treatment programme, not only will we ease your discomforts but allow you the freedom you need to play with ease. Call us today to see how we can help you!
